No other event in Canada attracts a higher profile or more diverse lineup of managers speaking to their best ideas. Past keynotes include David Rubenstein of The Carlyle Group, Howard Marks of Oaktree Capital, and Bob Prince of Bridgewater Associates. The 2020 speaker lineup includes Jeffrey Gundlach (DoubleLine Capital), Cliff Asness (AQR Capital Management), Vivian Lau (One Tusk Investment Partners), Yann Robard (Whitehorse Liquidity Partners), Jeffrey Smith (Starboard Value), John Ewing (Ewing Morris & Co. Investment Partners), and many more to be announced. And here's the best part ' it all supports a great cause. Capitalize for Kids is working to make Canada's mental health system the most efficient in the world. C4K works with agencies to identify business opportunities to increase the capacity of their services. They then partner with top for-profit companies on a pro-bono basis to design solutions and fund the required changes to an agency's operations. At the end of the process, C4K templates and shares what they learn through an open platform so that other organizations can implement similar solutions for themselves. To date, the conference has raised over $7 million to support capacity-building initiatives in the youth mental health sector. With your help, this year's event will raise $1.5 million to reduce wait times for kids and their families who are trying to access mental health service so that kids spend less time waiting for help and more time getting it!
