By Sara Bedal |

There will be something for every small- and medium-sized business at the SOHO/SME annual conference and trade show on October 27, 2010. The event brings together business professionals, executives and entrepreneurs to learn, connect and celebrate business growth and success at Toronto's Westin Harbour Castle.

Keynotes, sessions and panel discussions will cover topics such as:

  • Harnessing social media
  • Getting and keeping more money in your business
  • Doing business with the federal government
  • Successful marketing in changing times

The event by SOHO Business Group will also feature Sir Richard Branson, CEO of The Virgin Group, who will speak about winning when times are tough. For those looking to start a business or expand, Canada Business Ontario will present information on government programs, services and regulations.

Attendees can register for free online; otherwise admission is $25 at the door. (There is a separate fee to attend Richard Branson's keynote.) In-person registration begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by the conference and trade show from 9:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.
