Background

GEM Health Care Services is one of Canada's most successful and nationally accredited health care agencies. GEM has been in business since 1994.  In 2002 GEM became one of the first agencies of its kind to be accredited by Accreditation Canada for demonstrated commitment to quality health care.

The GEM Health Care System is the Company's own custom designed and registered information management system.  The System automates client and staff files, assists with real-time scheduling, payroll, billing, training, security and care plan assessments and appraisals.

GEM's founder is a highly accomplished business woman and holds RN, B.Sc.N and M.Ed designations.  She has been acknowledged over the years by various national and local business groups for her entrepreneurship and vision.  She also sits on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Home Care Association.

As the Baby Boomers begin to turn 65 this year, the future has never looked brighter for GEM.  Statistics Canada shows that seniors constitute the fastest growing segment of the Canadian population and will make up 25% of the population by 2031.

Franchise Fee: $37,500

Royalty:  6%

Advertising Fund: 2%

Working Capital requirement: $50,000 - $75,000

Outside resources are available to prospective GEM franchisees to assist in the development of Business Plans and the preparation of Bank Financing Packages.
